Choose Your Grid Cell!

Picture

Highest Priority

These grid cells did not have any survey effort in 2018 - help us complete the map!
Picture
High Priority
These grid cells did not have any survey effort in 2018, but have been adopted by at least one volunteer.
Picture

Medium Priority

These were surveyed in 2018, so collecting more data in 2019 is of a lower priority.
Before you adopt a grid cell, please make sure that you have registered for the project on Bumble Bee Watch

Step 1: Make Your Choice

Based on the results from 2018 we changed our prioritization for grid cells. Use the map below to find a grid cell of interest. Bright green cells are our highest priority and yellow cells are of medium priority for 2019. How transparent a cell is represents how many volunteers have signed up to collect data. When that number gets to 5, the cell becomes completely clear, essentially becoming unavailable. Blank cells were not included in our selection process (we still welcome incidental sightings in those locations, but they have not been selected for formal surveys). You can scroll in and out and change the layers as needed, see this page for guidance. As you scroll in closer, each cell will populate with a grid cell number - the state code followed by a number. Record the grid cell number of the cell you'd like to adopt and enter it in the form below the map (Step 2).

Step 2: Adopt your grid cell by filling out the form below.

If you are on a mobile device or otherwise having difficulty, you can find the entire form here: https://arcg.is/0yzrrv.

Step 3: Encourage others to adopt their grid cell today!
